CM mourns death of RS Talwar

Chandigarh, October 10,2013-Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today deeply mourned the sad demise of former Chief Secretary of state and President of Tribune Trust Mr. RS Talwar (94), who died at Gurgaon after a brief illness. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Mr. Talwar as an able administrator, a thorough gentleman and above all a fine human being with the rare qualities of head and heart. He said that the outstanding services rendered by Mr. Talwar in different capacities in the state government would be ever remembered by one and all. Mr. Badal said that as the President of Tribune Trust Mr. Talwar discharged his duties with utmost dedication, sincerity and professional commitment to pursue the ultimate goal of freedom of press in true spirit.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family members, friends and well wishers the Chief Minister prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of crisis.
Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue, Information & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia also mourned the death of Mr. Talwar and shared their heartfelt condolences with the family.
