Class V student Gurjit Singh appeals for financial help to aid son’s treatment

Ludhiana, October 12,2013-Father of a 10-year-old boy, who is battling for his life in the ICU at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), appealed to the public for financial help for his son’s treatment on Friday. Gurjit Singh, a Class-5 student at Guru Kirpa Model School, got severe injuries when a speeding Indica hit his bicycle. His elder brother Daljit Singh was riding the bicycle on Sunday when the incident occurred. Both brothers got injuries but Daljit has been discharged. However, the driver had managed to flee from the scene.Gurjit’s father   said, “Gurjit is undergoing treatment at DMCH. He fractured his head and suffered other severe injuries. Due to my poor financial condition, I need financial help to pay the expenses for his treatment.”
The pending balance amount was around 50,000 till Friday. According to the doctors, Gurjit will be kept in ICU for a few more days. The incident happened at Jassian Cut near Jalandhar bypass, when Gurjit and his brother were returning home after attending a religious event at Beas Satsang Bhawan at Kadian village, Ludhiana.
