Union Minister Preneet Kaur condemns vandalism at Andhra gurdwara

Patiala, October 8, 2013- Minister of State for external affairs Preneet Kaur  condemned the vandalism at a gurdwara in Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh by miscreants on Sunday. She  said, “The incident deserves to be condemned by everyone.” She pointed out, those who had indulged in this act had not done any good to the cause they claim to pursue.  The minister said, “The greatest strength of India lies in the diversity of its people who follow different faiths and beliefs.” She said, it is absolutely wrong for an Indian to target the religious place of someone else to vent his or her own anger.  Preneet Kaur said she had already taken up the matter with the Andhra Pradesh government and asked it to ensure the security of life and property and of religious places of the Sikh community. She said she been assured that culprits will be punished.
