New Delhi, October 11, 2013 : Shiromani Akali Dal
General Secretary Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra today accused Delhi Sikh
Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) former chief Paramjit Singh Sarna for
dancing to the tunes of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister
Sheila Dikshit with deliberate intention to denigrate the supreme authority of
Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Commenting on the writ petition filed against the
Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar by a pawn of Sarna, Mr Chandumajra warned DSGMC
former chief that he should not poke his nose into the affairs of Sikhs
following the instructions given by anti-Sikh Gandhi family. He said it was
Congress Party and its leaders, who have attacked and devastated Sri Akal Takht
Sahib, the highest temporal body of Sikhs and were directly involved in 1984
anti-Sikh riots. The writ filed in the Delhi High Court also reflected that now
the Congress Party was again trying to pull down the authority, ideology and
supremacy of this highest temporal institution of Sikhs.
Describing Sarna as ‘fish out of water’ after facing a massive defeat in
recent DSGMC elections, Mr Chandumajra said that earlier Mr. Sarna had filed a
petition against the memorial to be built in the memory of victims of 1984
riots but got grave disrepute from Panth. He said that now, Sarna has again
started such mischievous exercises through one of his own pawn by filing a
petition against Jathedar Sahib. Mr Chandumajra reminded it was Sarna, who was
the frontrunner to oppose the Nanak Shahi Calendar with an aim to create a
misunderstanding and division in Sikhs but he had to face.
The
SAD leader said that worried over the consecutive victories of SAD-BJP in
Punjab, the Congress Party has now a new reason to worry that is ensuing Vidhan
Sabha polls in national capital, SAD-BJP would register an exemplary win
despite various interrupted designs of Congress. He appealed to the Singh
Sahiban that Sarna should be summoned at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and declared as
‘tankhaiya’ (religious atonement). Adding further he asked the Sikh community
to defeat the anti-Sikh and anti-Punjabi congress and its agents in Delhi State
in the ensuing assembly elections.
